Our classic all-wood tavern, a local gathering place for 80 years, is a focal point of the property. Many people say it is their favorite bar on earth as it combines a rich sense of history, friendly people, great drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere. Our tavern is more then a bar as it serves as a ‘hub’ of lodge activity and it is sure to be a place you'll long remember.
The tavern is open for lunch and dinner and provides a relaxed setting to enjoy great food and libations. During the summer, the tavern extends into our outdoor dining area where you are welcome to dine as well as enjoy conversation and drinks beneath the stars. Many restaurant guests choose to end their meal in the tavern with dessert and a glass of port, cognac or other after-dinner drink.
We offer 10 beers on tap and our friendly, knowledgeable bartenders can mix up your favorite cocktail and help you choose from our excellent selection of whiskey, scotch and vodka. Children have their own kid's drink menu, and those under 21 are welcome to hang out in the tavern until we stop serving for the evening.
We take pride in serving great wine, and our wine list receives rave reviews. It focuses on affordable, yet superb wines from California, as well as select choices from other areas of the world. We have an extensive choice of wines by the glass and our reserve list will please experienced wine lovers with stellar choices at prices that are hard to pass up.
On many weekends throughout the year we feature live music from a variety of local artists and nationally touring acts. Yosemite area locals join us on these festive nights, and you're sure to meet rangers, climbers and others who call Yosemite home.
On any given night you can play pool and other games, watch a ballgame, sit by the fire, enjoy our great house music and soak up the history and ambiance. Belly up!
