Yosemite is a recreation-lover's paradise offering a diverse set of activities, elevations and topographies. From hair raising vistas to serene meadows, Yosemite also has many different moods. Perhaps, more impressive is the diversity and changes visitors experience from month to month throughout the year. Yosemite truly presents a different face each season.
Spring is characterized by blooming wildflowers and booming waterfalls and is perhaps the most visually spectacular season in the Park. Summer is the most amazing (and popular) season in Yosemite with access available to all parts of the Park. Fall is serene with warm days, cool nights and gorgeous fall colors dominating the landscape. Winter is an uncrowded wonderland and a great alternative to Lake Tahoe and as a surprise to many, also presents snow-free recreation opportunities in lower elevations of the Park.
