Come enjoy a special New Year’s celebration at the Evergreen Lodge. Starting with dinner and activities on Monday, continuing with exciting Cabaret Gaming Nights followed by our extravagant New Year's Eve dinner & “Moulin Rouge” Parisian Pleasures party on Wednesday, and finishing with a decadent New Year's Day brunch on Thursday.
Our secluded setting in the forest allows for an intimate New Year’s experience, and since we have no neighbors, it also allows our celebration to go on for as long as you want to party. And when you’re ready to retire, you can stroll back to your cozy cabin in the woods – no driving required!
You can enjoy your New Year's Weekend with us in two ways:
- A la Carte – Book your cabin (two-night minimum), then pick and choose from the many dining, party and recreation options available.
- New Year's Package – Get the most value, fun and convenience from your visit by purchasing a two or three-night package, including New Year's Eve dinner & party, New Year's Day brunch, and much more.

Kick the celebration off right with a night of relaxation and merriment. Join us for a hearty dinner and then head to the tavern for great music and one (or more) of our world-famous hot toddies. Or join us in the Recreation Center for an evening of games, s'mores and a roaring fire. This will be a great start to a fun-filled, New Year's getaway!
Indulge in a lazy morning and a delicious hot breakfast, then get out and enjoy the day. Grab lunch to go and join us for one of our naturalist hikes, snowshoe trips or sightseeing tours. Tap into some of the Park's secret treasures and little known gems for a truly unique Yosemite experience that few get to see!

Arrive back at the Lodge in time for an indulgent full-body massage in our new massage cabana or in the privacy of your own cabin. Treatments include Evergreen’s signature Swedish massage, deep tissue, reflexology and hot stone therapies (massage available throughout the weekend – reservations required).
Relaxed and refreshed, join us for dinner and evening activities:
“Spectacular, Spectacular” Gaming
On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, check out the Lodge’s Cabaret Gaming Room and indulge in classic casino gaming with your “Green Backs”. When you check in you will receive $1000 in “Green Backs Lodge Money” to test your luck. A variety of prizes will be awarded each night.
Start the day with a hearty breakfast, then in the afternoon head out and explore the best of Yosemite on one of our guided tours.
That night, join us for an exciting evening of dining, dancing and decadence as we ring in the New Year! This year’s party promises all the fun and more of past years sold out New Year’s gala events!
New Year's Eve Dinner
Come indulge in Chef Stahlmann’s decadent French New Year's feast. Choose from a variety of taste tempting appetizer and dinner selections along with your choice of a festive holiday cocktail. Finish your meal off with a decadent Parisian dessert.

New Year's Eve Party
Take a step back in time to our Turn of the Century “Moulin Rouge” themed party and bring in 2009 with a bang. Come celebrate with music, dancing, costumes and an over the top feast for the senses at the Evergreen's “Parisian Pleasures” festivities.
Join us for a party of the ages as we transport you to a world of pleasures far away from the every day: Moulin Rouge. Moulin Rouge is based on the fanciful notion of Bohemia and freedom - freedom to express yourself, freedom to be yourself and freedom to explore. From our Big Top in Tuolumne Hall, ablaze with the warmth of crushed red velvet, and the abandonment of everyday inhibitions, to our gaming tables, alive with energy and laughter, to our sumptuous French Feast, let us help create a moment in time for you to experience a bygone world of “Parisian Pleasures”.
Don’t miss this classic period party as our DJ puts the beats down to keep the dance floor hoppin' all night and into the morning. Enjoy delicious French pastries, decadent flowing chocolate and scintillating cocktails while you dance the night away in the opulent and fanciful surroundings of the Moulin Rouge.
Guests HAVE THE OPTION to dress up or not. If you are game to dress up, here are suggestions:
Ladies are encouraged to wear corsets, bustiers, halters, fishnets, heels, wigs, fake eyelashes, stage makeup, gloves, rhinestones, accessories, tails & tux, top hats, hot pants, mini or long skirt or pants, ruffle skirts/dresses, garters, feathers, boas. Think color, glam, feminine, burlesque, circus.
Gentlemen are encouraged to wear black and white tux & tails, top hat, any circus-like attire, stage make-up, or simply black pants and white button down shirt.
Live Performers:
As an added delight for the senses, the Lodge will be hosting live circus-like performances throughout the night. Get ready to be amazed and surprised with performances by live Fire Dancers, performing and creating incredible visual displays in our open-air courtyard.
Forget those stuffy old New Year's pictures. We will have our very own Caricaturist on hand to create unique and memorable drawings of you and your sweetie, or of you and your zany friends, to commemorate your freedom of expression in our turn of the century party.
Costume Contest:
After you've warmed up with a few glasses of our “Lodge Absinthe”, compete in our “King” or “Queen” of Yosemite contest. Strut your stuff on the dance floor to earn the honor of Best Couple or Individual Costume and win gift certificates and prizes.
At the stroke of midnight, toast the New Year under the Yosemite starry sky with your commemorative Evergreen Lodge “Parisian Pleasures” engraved champagne glass. This is a party to delight, treat and amaze the senses, fostering “Truth, Beauty, Freedom & Love”. See you there.

On Thursday, sleep in, then enjoy a wonderful New Year’s brunch. Laze around the Lodge and recover from the big night, or explore more of Yosemite on one of our guided trips.
New Year's Day Champagne Brunch
Start the year off right with Chef Stahlmann’s decadent champagne brunch, featuring a host of breakfast specialties and your choice of mimosas, Bloody Mary's and more.
Time: 9AM – Noon
Price: $20 Adults; $10 Kids (age 2-12)
After brunch, if you are feeling adventurous, join one of our naturalists on a hike, snowshoe outing or guided van tour in the Valley or surrounding area.
If you're feeling a bit mellow, kick back, and enjoy your afternoon in our recreation center, complete with board games, library, comfy couches and blazing fireplace. Or indulge in watching football Bowl games in the tavern. However you choose to spend your New Year's Day will only add to the memories of your unique Evergreen New Year’s getaway!

2008/2009 Package Details
Two-Night Package includes (for each person in your party):
- Two night’s accommodation
- New Year's Eve Dinner & Party
- New Year's Day Champagne Brunch
- Hearty mountain breakfast the other morning
- A “Happy New Year” welcome basket, including commemorative champagne flute and other goodies
- Evening activities, including roaring fires, s’mores, movie, etc.
Three-Night Package includes (for each person in your party):
- Everything from the two-night package
- An additional night’s accommodation
- An additional hearty mountain breakfast
- Freshly-made “trail lunches” for your day’s activities on one afternoon
- A delicious three-course dinner
2008/2009 Package Pricing
Couples Package:
- 2 adults; newly-built traditional cabin
- $325 per night for 2 nights; $275 for 3rd night
- add $15 per night for upgrade to cabin with gas fireplace
- add $35 per night for upgrade to one-bedroom cottage
- add $35 per night for a child (age 2-12)
Family Package:
- 2 adults, 1-2 kids or 3rd adult; 2BR family cabin
- $460 per night for 2 nights; $395 for 3rd night
- add $35 per night for third child (age 2-12)
