Come join us for a memorable Yosemite New Year’s celebration. Whether you are traveling back in time or visiting us from a Bygone Era, you will be welcome at our New Year’s Time Travelers Ball. Our week will be filled with festivities, starting with dinner and activities on Wednesday, continuing with our exciting “Victorian Vices” Gaming followed by our extravagant Neo Victorian New Year's Eve dinner & “Time Travelers Ball” on Thursday, and finishing with a decadent New Year's Day brunch on Friday. Our secluded setting in the forest allows for an intimate New Year’s experience, and since we have no neighbors, it also allows our celebration to go on for as long as you want to party. And when you’re ready to retire, you can stroll back to your cozy cabin in the woods – no driving required!
You can enjoy your New Year's celebration with us in two ways:
- A la Carte – Book your cabin (two-night minimum), then pick and choose from the many dining, party and recreation options available.
- New Year's Package – Get the most value, fun and convenience from your visit by purchasing a two or three-night package, including New Year's Eve dinner & party, New Year's Day brunch, and much more.

Kick the celebration off right with a night of relaxation and merriment. Join us for a hearty dinner and then head to the tavern for great music and one (or more) of our world-famous hot toddies. Or join us in the Recreation Center for an evening of games, s'mores and a roaring fire. This will be a great start to a fun-filled, New Year's getaway!
Indulge in a lazy morning and a delicious hot breakfast, then get out and enjoy the day. Grab lunch to go and join us for one of our naturalist hikes, snowshoe trips or sightseeing tours. Tap into some of the Park's secret treasures and little known gems for a truly unique Yosemite experience that few get to see!

Arrive back at the Lodge in time for an indulgent full-body massage in our new massage cabana or in the privacy of your own cabin. Treatments include Evergreen’s signature Swedish massage, deep tissue, reflexology and hot stone therapies (massage available throughout the week – reservations required).
Relaxed and refreshed, join us for a festive happy hour, dinner and evening activities:
“Victorian Vices” Gaming
Our tables are hot, hot, hot. On Wednesday & Thursday evenings, check out the Lodge’s Gaming Room and indulge in classic casino gaming with your “Green Backs”. When you check in you will receive $1000 in “Green Backs Lodge Money” to test your luck. A variety of prizes will be awarded each night. After a bit of Gaming (or before if you just can’t wait!), head to our restaurant to enjoy a memorable dinner.
Start the day with a hearty breakfast, then in the afternoon head out and explore the best of Yosemite on a guided Giant Sequoias Snowshoe Trip, a Yosemite Valley Naturalist Tour, or another of our guided adventures.
Return to the lodge to join us for an exciting evening of gaming, dining, dancing and decadence as we ring in the New Year! As described below, this year’s party promises all the fun and more of past sold out Evergreen New Year’s gala events!
Casino Gaming
On Thursday evening, we continue the casino fun in the Lodge’s Victorian Vices Gaming Room. Enjoy the excitement as you try to parlay your Evergreen “Green Backs” into a small fortune. A variety of prizes will be awarded.
New Year's Eve Dinner
Come indulge in Chef Stahlmann’s sumptuous Victorian New Year's feast. Choose from a variety of taste tempting appetizer and dinner selections along with your choice of a festive holiday elixir. Finish your meal off with one of our decadent desserts, including home made sugar plums.

New Year's Eve Party:
Time Travelers Ball – Victorian Vices
Take a step back or leap forward in time to our “Time Travelers Ball” themed party and bring in 2010 with a bang.
Our Neo Victorian party does not play by traditional Victorian rules. Cast aside the sensible and stuffy musings of the everyday. Don’t be constricted or confined, as you are transported to a world of pleasures far away from the every day.
Come celebrate the dawning of a new year with revelry, role play and an over the top feast for the senses. Delight in immersing yourself in a world awash with decadence, indulgence, revelry and playful spirit.
From our Scarlett Parlor in Tuolumne Hall, ablaze with the warmth of crushed red velvet and the abandonment of everyday inhibitions, to our gaming tables, alive with energy and laughter, to our home made Feast, let us help create a moment for you to experience travelling through time.
Don’t miss our annual period party as our DJ puts the beats down to keep the dance floor hoppin' all night and into the morning. Enjoy delicious home made pastries, live flambé desserts and exotic elixers and libations from our crafty mixologists, while you dance the night away in our whirlwind of sights & sounds.
Guests HAVE THE OPTION to dress up or not. If you are game to dress up, here are suggestions:
Ladies are encouraged to wear corsets, bustiers, waist cinchers, bloomers, velvet, petticoats, vintage hats, mini hats, Victorian/lace up boots, ruffles, long skirt or pants, bustle skirts/dresses, garters, futuristic, mechanical, etc.
Gentlemen are encouraged to wear vests, waistcoats, boots, spats, fedoras, leather, top hat, other vintage clothing, etc.

Victoriana, Edwardian, Explorer, Mechanical, Aviation, Wild West, Royalty, Cogs, Gears, Steampunk.
Live Performers:
As an added delight for the senses, the Lodge will be hosting live side show performances throughout the night. Get ready to be amazed and surprised with performances by live Fire Dancers & Stilt Walkers, performing and creating incredible visual displays in our open-air courtyard.
Photo Booth:
Forget those stuffy old New Year's pictures. While we don’t have the magnesium flash photography of the Victorian Tymes, we will have our very own photo booth on hand to commemorate your journey through time. Who knows, we may capture one of the many “Evergreen ghosts” on film.
Time Capsule:
For the first time ever, we will be compiling an Evergreen Lodge Time Capsule to honor the passing of time while reminding us of the here and now. So, if you’d like, please bring an article that represents you and your “here and now” as we travel through space and time together.
Costume Contest:
After you've warmed up with a few glasses of our “Evergreen Elixir”, compete in our “Count” or “Countess” of Parque contest. You can rule your own piece of land, the Oak Parque Dance Floor. Strut your stuff to earn the honor of Best Couple or Individual Costume and win gift certificates and prizes.
Pop a Cork with a Full Moon!
At the stroke of midnight, join us outside under the full moon to toast the New Year with your commemorative Evergreen Lodge “Victorian Vices” engraved champagne glass. This is a party to delight and amaze the senses, as we look to the future and learn from the past.

Be sure to make a reservation for one of our cozy cabins so you can enjoy your New Year’s Celebration without having to drive home.
On Friday, sleep in, then enjoy a wonderful New Year’s brunch. Laze around the Lodge and recover from the big night, or explore more of Yosemite on one of our guided trips.
New Year's Day Champagne Brunch
Start the year off right with Chef Stahlmann’s decadent champagne brunch, featuring a host of breakfast specialties and your choice of mimosas, Bloody Mary's and more.
Time: 9AM – Noon
Price: $21 Adults; $10 Kids (age 2-12)
After brunch, if you are feeling adventurous, join one of our naturalists on a hike, snowshoe outing or guided sightseeing tour in the Valley or surrounding area.
If you're feeling a bit mellow, kick back, and enjoy your afternoon in our recreation center, complete with board games, library, comfy couches and blazing fireplace. Or indulge in watching football Bowl games in the tavern. However you choose to spend your New Year's Day will only add to the memories of your unique Evergreen New Year’s getaway!
Saturday will afford more opportunities for Yosemite exploration, relaxation and delicious food. Sleep in, enjoy a late morning massage, then get some afternoon exercise on our ‘Owl Prowl’. Or motivate early for a full day of Yosemite adventure on your own or with one of our guided tours.
Return for happy hour and another celebratory dinner. Then head off to your private deck to enjoy a starry Yosemite night, or cozy up next to the fireplace in the Tavern or recreation center for some late night fun.
